Investigation of the possibilities of creating colours and structures in bioplastic/textile composites.
Bioplastics (plastic made from natural, renewable resources) have an immense potential in the textile industry. This project investigates how bioplastics can be dyed using natural dyes, food dyes and pigments extruded from bacteria. I experimented with the use of bioplastic as a composite or coating material to textiles.
